Residence in Kalorama

This lovely old aristocrat was manhandled over the years. We restored the plasterwork and finishes, installed all new systems, an elevator, added a breakfast room, and renovated some areas.  Clarke Waggaman designed this DC row house in 1912. Respecting the original quality and adding new elements to meet the owner’s needs were the driving forces behind the design.On the First Floor the existing trim and woodwork was refurbished and the stair was extended to the basement. The kitchen was renovated and a breakfast area added.
